Susan Freeman is a veteran elementary teacher, teacher educator and professional development consultant. She is a co-author of the California Standards for the Teaching Profession, participated in the development of Bank Street College's Continuum of Teaching Practice, and has worked as a mentor with the Santa Cruz New Teacher Project, co-director of the Central California Writing Project at UC Santa Cruz, and adjunct faculty in the Teacher Education programs at Stanford University, UC Santa Cruz, Pacific Oaks College, and Cabrillo College Early Childhood Education.
