Author Biography
As assistant superintendent for the public school district in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Denise Snyder has oversight for community, family, and student engagement. Prior to this role, she led enrollment and school transition activities in Boston Public Schools. Denise earned her bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Saint Joseph and completed her graduate studies at Boston College. She is the mother to a transgender child, who transitioned while a student in Boston Public Schools.
