Abstract
Being in a new environment, meeting new people, and going through new diagnoses, treatments, and procedures can be fear-provoking for pediatric patients. The digital book, Who Are Your Friends in the Hospital, uses age-appropriate language and images to describe whom a child will meet in a hospital. In this book, children have the opportunity to see pictures of their doctors, nurses, child life specialists, therapists, volunteers, and other members of the team. Additionally, children will have the chance to get his or her signature. This book was written for every pediatric patient, regardless of sex, age, ethnicity, and race.
