Gail Boldt is an Associate Professor in the Language, Literacy, and Culture program and the Elementary Education program at the University of Iowa. Prior to receiving her doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, she taught elementary school in Honolulu for seven years. She is the editor, with Paula Salvio of Love's return: psychoanalytic essays in childhood, teaching, and learning (Routledge, 2006).
