Abstract

Explores the connections between our images of the child and our understandings of children’s spaces to posit childhood itself as a construction of both image and space.

Author Biography

Heather Kaplan is a doctoral student in the Department of Arts Administration, Education and Policy at the Ohio State University, where she teaches art methods courses to elementary education preservice teachers. Her academic focus is on studio art production and early childhood art education.
